The Arranmore Ferry Fleet

Travel to and from Arranmore Island in comfort by foot or by vehicle in our state of the art fleet. All our vessels meet the requirements of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and the MSO. We are certified with Department of Marine and Failte Ireland to carry vehicles and up to 96 passengers. All our vessels have indoor and outdoor seating areas and onboard toilet facilities suitable for those with reduced mobility. (Passengers with reduced mobility are advised to pre-book your vehicle, so that you can be given the designated parking area for easy access to onboard facilities).

MV Morvern

Our main roll-on roll-off vessel, MV Morvern, is capable of carrying 96 passengers, up to 9 cars and has a cargo carrying capacity of 49.5 tonnes (suitable for 8 wheeler lorries). She is in contract with the Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht and is the main vessel operating the Burtonport to Arranmore Island route.

MV Misneach

Our back up roll-on roll-off vessel and workboat MV Misneach, also capable of carrying passengers and vehicles and is available for charter.

MV Canna

Our back up roll-on roll-off vessel and workboat MV Canna, also capable of carrying passengers and vehicles and is available for charter.

MV Ocean Warrior

Our back up passenger vessel MV Ocean Warrior is a Tyne Class ex-lifeboat and has a carrying capacity of 12 passengers. Vessel also available for charter.

MV Queen of Aran

Our passenger vessel MV Queen of Aran has a carrying capacity of 96 passengers and is in contract with the Department of Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht, operating the Magheroarty to Tory Island route.

Tory Ferry

Want to visit another Donegal island? Realt Na Maidne Teoranta Ferry Company is delighted to announce the Tory Island Ferry service, the Queen of Arran Ferry. The ferry departs Magheroarty Pier and Tory Island several times a day. Tory is known for its traditional music and dance and is a haven for artists, photographers and bird watchers. The island has an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery… it’s well worth a visit any time of the year!
